The juxtaposition of the Illawarra coastline with its mountains and escarpment directly behind gives the coastline its special character.  As such, this location lends itself exceptionally well to introductory outdoor education programs and centre-based programs.

Groups undertaking Illawarra programming can choose the style of accommodation depending upon program outcomes and budget. Most introductory programs include time spent utilising both options below.

Residential accommodation options for groups include: Chittick Lodge/Gerringong Conference Centre in Gerringong or Killilea State Park in Shellharbour.

Camping accommodation options for groups include: Killilea State Park in Shellharbour

Transport


 

LEF can arrange all transportation for Illawarra programming as required.

Catering


 

LEF and its accommodation providers cover all catering and dietary requirements for programs in this location. 

LEF adheres to the Australia & New Zealand Food Standards Code, meeting, in particular, Standards 3.2.2 (Food Safety Practices & General Requirements) and Standard 3.2.3 (Food Premises & Equipment).

Equipment


 

LEF provides all equipment required for programming and activities including camping, snorkelling, surfing and canoeing equipment etc. 

Alternatively, groups can provide what equipment they can access and LEF can supplement required items.
